Bringing Goodness to the World

For nearly 5 years, I’ve worked at the Hershey Company. Technically, it’s more than that. I say technically, because I originally started here as a contractor in 2015, working on a project and wound up back here again in 2018 as an employee, working on a similar project.
Candy will never be the same for me. Being a training professional has a side effect: learning. At this stage in the game, I know too much! I know how it’s made, how it’s packaged, how it’s sold, and where it comes from. I know the safety measures taken to make it. I know many of the people who make it and sell it. I know the business, financial, and commercial methodologies used. I know it all, because I’ve built training for it all.
I used to joke that if you want secrets on a company, don’t kidnap their scientists, take their instructional designers! Those folks know it all, because they’ve been taught it all.
